Social Media ~ A Battle that is not Mine

Social Media ~ A Battle that is not Mine

I catch myself

Trying to right every wrong
Wanting to police all immoral reasoning

Reacting to friends
Responding to strangers

Speaking out against all inequities.
Reasoning with those I love

Showing perspective of complicated issues
Explaining haves aren’t against have-nots

Writing support isn’t about not-supporting
Frustrated with unwillingness to see

Fighting for truth and justice
Wanting honesty.

Searching for humility
Realizing my time is diverted.

Battling a battle that is not mine

I catch myself

Distracted by a battle that is not mine
Consumed by a battle that is not mine

Battling those who choose another God
Distracted by those whose choose another God

Consumed by those who choose another God

I catch myself
Battling the deceiver
Distracted by the deceiver
Consumed by the deceiver

Listening to the the deceiver

Will I catch myself before I fall?

Are Masks the Deceiver’s Distraction?
