Morning Coffee Cake

What you need:

1 box white cake mix
1/4 cinnamon stick- fresh ground into dry ingredients
1 large egg
1 cup sour cream
1 cup buttermilk
1 tablespoon vanilla

Crumble Topping:

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup granulated sugar (optional)
1/4 cinnamon stick- fresh ground into dry ingredients
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
1 cup all-purpose flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Prepare cake pan with light coat of cooking spray.

Making the Topping:

Mix sugar(s), cinnamon and salt in a medium bowl.
Whisk in melted butter.
Add flour and stir until a dough ball forms.

Making the Cake:

Blend sour cream, butter milk and egg in a medium bowl.
Mix cake mix and ground cinnamon until combined in a second medium bowl.
Combine ingredients by slowly pouring wet into dry while stirring.
Pour batter into a 9″x 13″ prepared baking pan.

Holding dough ball over baking pan pinch a small portion of the dough off and rub fingers through to make a crumble.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-35 minutes or until tooth pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve warm.
