As the self quarantine plods on I have been looking for ways to make dinners that are a little more fun, a little different, yet simple. The Taco Bar (or the Build Your Own Taco Dinner) was a hit this week.
I did decide to make it a little more “fancy” compared to our usual serve yourself off the stove dinner routine.
There really isn’t much difference between “making tacos” for dinner and putting together a taco bar.

Brown some ground beef, chicken, ground turkey, tofu, shredded beef; whichever your family prefers. Season it with some cumin and salt and pepper or a prepared Taco mix.

Chop up your favorite Taco fixings.

Serve it as a build your own dinner.

Kids can make their own tacos with chips and salsa.

Or they can make a nacho supreme or a taco salad.

I did try the prepared standing taco shells. Not impressed. I will stick with my fried corn tortillas for next time.

My family enjoyed this simple fun meal. I hope yours does too.
I also had a little fun taking pictures of the food.
