Are Masks the Deceiver’s Distraction?
Fellow believers, Fellow followers of Jesus:
Am I once again consumed by the deceiver? Will my writing be too harsh, misread or divisive amongst believers? Am I distracted writing this from what the Lord has planned for my day? I pray that my writing helps others to see the other side of a very contentious coin.
Am I distracted by the deceiver trying to right every wrong; trying to reason with friends and family? Am I caught in the deceivers trap? I pray that my writing is pleasing to the Lord.
To judge someone fearful you must assume that you know what is in their heart. To judge someone fearful you must assume that you know their request to the Lord and you must know the Lord’s response. You might be judging what you perceive as fear and the Lord has given as wisdom.
Love your neighbor. Love your neighbor. Love your neighbor. “Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” MARK 12:31. Two of my neighbors are fighting cancer. My Aunt is coming to stay with us, fighting cancer. Two of my other neighbors are fighting COVID. All within a block of each other.
Wisdom in loving my neighbor and wearing a mask. My family making this choice has no room or place for earthly judgement. Don’t assume to know the answer to my prayers. And how insulting that some of my friends, fellow Christian’s and followers of Christ have even called out passive aggressively that HUSBANDS are leading families in fear.
The masks protect others.
Sometimes loving your neighbor is letting them trust in the lord, their prayers and their responses from the Lord. Sometimes loving your neighbor is protecting them from Covid. Sometimes loving your neighbor is allowing them to make decisions without the passive aggressive earthly judgement of those who have audacity and pride to believe that they know why people make the decisions for each other.
And on the other side of this coin, when as believers and followers of Christ did we stop fearing the Lord? (Proverbs 1:7 and Hebrews 10:31).
I fear I am trapped in the deceivers cycle of distraction. Are you? If this writing speaks to you, my intention is to please the Lord and not give in to the distraction of the deceiver.
